Horticultural Perlite (3–5mm)

Improves Drainage, Aeration & Soil Structure

Our Horticultural Perlite (3–5mm) is a lightweight, natural mineral used to improve drainage, aeration, and root development in potting mixes, containers, and garden soils.

Produced from volcanic glass and expanded at high temperatures, perlite forms a porous structure that helps prevent soil compaction while allowing roots to access both air and moisture more efficiently.

🌱 Ideal for Potting Mixes & Soil Improvement

Perlite is widely used by gardeners and growers to enhance growing conditions in:

  • Houseplants & indoor containers
  • Potting compost and soil blends
  • Seed starting & propagation
  • Vegetable beds and raised planters
  • Hydroponic and semi-hydro systems

The 3–5mm grade is especially well suited for general-purpose potting mixes and container growing.

💧 Better Drainage Without Drying Out

Perlite helps excess water drain freely while retaining small amounts of moisture on its surface. This balance reduces the risk of waterlogging and root rot while maintaining consistent conditions between waterings.

♻️ Clean, Natural & Lightweight

  • Made from natural volcanic mineral
  • pH neutral and chemically inert
  • Contains no fertilizers or additives
  • Lightweight and easy to mix
  • Suitable for repeated use in soil blends

Its low weight makes it ideal for pots and planters where reducing load is important.

🌿 Versatile Growing Medium

Perlite can be used on its own or mixed with other substrates such as coco coir, compost, or vermiculite to create customized growing media tailored to different plant needs.

Important Note

Perlite is a soil amendment and growing medium, not a fertilizer. Nutrients should be supplied separately according to plant requirements.
