Rounded Fine Grade LECA Clay Pebbles – 2–4mm

Growcery Rounded Fine Grade LECA is a lightweight expanded clay aggregate formed into small, rounded pebbles measuring approximately 2–4mm.

Unlike our irregular Fine Grade LECA Grit, this product has a more uniform, rounded shape. Its compact particle size makes it particularly suitable for smaller plant pots, terrariums, bonsai substrates, decorative top dressing and fine drainage applications.

The porous clay particles help create air spaces within growing media while supporting drainage around plant roots. They can be used alone for suitable growing methods or blended with other substrates to improve structure and reduce compaction.

Rounded LECA or irregular LECA grit?

This product consists of small, rounded clay pebbles.

For a rougher, more angular material intended primarily as horticultural grit and a potting-mix amendment, choose our Growcery Fine Grade LECA Grit 2–4mm instead.

How to use

Rinse thoroughly with clean water before use to remove any naturally occurring dust from handling and transportation.

For substrate mixes, combine with your preferred growing medium at a ratio suitable for the plant and growing method. It can also be used as a drainage layer or decorative surface covering.

When using LECA for hydroponic or semi-hydro growing, prepare and condition the material according to the requirements of your chosen system.

Please note

Particle sizes are approximate and a small amount of natural variation may occur. Some dust may be present inside the bag due to movement during transport. This is normal for expanded clay products and can be removed by rinsing before use.

LECA is a growing-medium component and does not provide significant plant nutrition on its own.
